K-VEST » FAQs

You can immediately use most aspects of the software, including video analysis, the K-SWING Summary, and real-time biofeedback training. This makes the transition very simple from video to 3D wireless technology, while offering significant instructional advantages to you and your students. As you learn more about the analysis engine, you can harness the power of the TPI 3D engine and its reporting capabilities.

The K-VEST team has 50+ years of experience in biomechanical research focused on the golf swing. Our organization consists of human motion specialists, top biomechanical sports specialists, PGA professionals, and an excellent product/education support division. We have made a strong commitment to the future of the game by providing the most advanced training technology to golf instructors. We will be providing ongoing education to help instructors excel.

A complete list of our computer requirements can be found here. Most importantly your laptop/desktop should have a dedicated video card (NVIDIA or ATI recommended). If you are going to use video with K-VEST, a FireWire (IEEE 1394) port is also required.

To determine if your computer can run K-VEST, you can run our compatibility tool by downloading it here or by contacting our Technical Support Division at customer@k-motioninc.com or by phone at: 1.603.472.3519 ext. 4015.

Our weekly online webinars have been created to offer free K-VEST education to our customers. The webinars, held every Wednesday at 4pm EST, outline overall K-VEST functionality as well as more specific applications for the golf, fitness, and medical professionals. The following is a sampling of the webinars that will be held on a weekly basis.

  • K-VEST - Getting started with your K-VEST
  • Introducing the K-VEST and 3D technology to your new and existing clients
  • How to most effectively use biofeedback drills and exercises
  • Efficiency - How to measure the efficiency of your client's golf swings
  • K-WEB - Utilizing your online K-VEST resource to grow your business

  • The K-VEST technology is fully wireless
  • The K-VEST's 3 sensors work within the same software program, simultaneously
  • The K-VEST displays live video and animation in the same screen for an ideal training environment
  • The K-VEST hand sensor is worn on the hand, so you don't have to move it when you change clubs
  • K-VEST is backed by the TPI 3D engine and includes the TPI 3D software with every install
  • The K-VEST sensors are lightweight and small enough to have minimal effect on the golfer's natural swing
  • The K-VEST product is affordable and has a quick return on investment

From our biomechanical testing, we found that the best location for our third sensor was on the hand. We also found that gripping the club differently skewed results, and having to move the sensor every time a different club was used hindered the full K-VEST experience. Our feedback from the hand sensor has been extremely positive.

In addition to our K-VEST Certification, online education webinars, and K-WEB support website, we have a team of educated, service-driven golf professionals and technicians who are dedicated to supporting our product. Our company is committed to helping the user understand the full functionality and benefits of the technology hardware and software. In order to accomplish this, we have implemented a knowledgeable and support-driven team to answer any of your questions.

All exercises can be customized to fit the needs of your students. K-VEST ships with the PGA and LPGA Tour Ranges programmed into the system, but with a few clicks, every exercise can be altered to meet the needs of any K-VEST user or swing style.

The new K-WEB customer portal is a resource designed to provide K-VEST customers with a rich set of training, marketing, and support tools. The product training section allows users to improve their programs, while the comprehensive PR and marketing support sections allow golf, fitness, and medical professionals to increase market awareness.

As a K-VEST customer, you have weekly access to online educational webinars. These webinars are designed to help you interpret the K-VEST performance graphs and then provide simple solutions for your students to create more efficient patterns in their golf swing.
